Branislav Markovic
Branislav Markovic was born in 1955 in Sabac, Serbia. He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1979. Markovic took his first steps in painting at the ateliers of a renowned painter lsmet Mujezinovic and sculptor Dragisa Trifkovic. Curious by nature, he tried his skills in various visual arts branches such as strip art, drawing, applied illustration and design. In 1986 he became a member of the Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Vojvodina. At that time he was drawn to watercolor and photography that remain central to Markovic's activities to this day. He is a member of the art colony Tiska Akademija Akvarela, a recipient of two art awards, and a participant of many group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad. He has held several solo exhibitions and his works are in private and corporate collections in Serbia and Europe. Markovic lives in Novi Sad - deeply devoted to his family, friends, Danube river, plain, watercolor and photography.
