Tatjana Kilibarda
Tatjana Kilibarda was born in 1948 in Skopje, then Yugoslavia. Since 18 she has spent the majority of her life outside her native country. Educated in Paris, where she finished a degree in French at the Sorbonne, as well as fashion design at Fleuri de la Port and patternmaking at the Academie Internationale de Paris Vauclair Darroux. She completed several design collections, was awarded a consumer jury award, and placed second in a France -wide design competition launched by Levi Strauss. She moved to Canada with her husband in 1978, where she gave birth to her son . The daughter of a painter, she was exposed to colors early on, eventually making a natural transition from fashion design to producing her own paintings. Her paintings are to be found in many private collections. She was part of a number of group exhibitions, mainly in Canada. In the past decade she has focused on painting murals for private residences in Virginia, Washington DC, Niagara Lake, Crystal Beach, and Font Hill. She currently lives in St. Catharines, Ontario. |
